Strategies for Migrating to 40G & 100GigE                     
The transmission migration from 10G has begun, but the way forward is not particularly clear. Part of the issue is the close proximity of carrier 40G rollouts (which are happening now) and standardization for the next-generation speed, 100GigE (which is planned for 2010). Adding to the confusion is the mix of modulation formats and other enabling technologies for faster transmission being put forward by the various vendors.

This session will employ a lively debate format to get right at the heart of the major migration options carriers face as they migrate from 10G to 40G and 100GigE, and suppliers’ specific positions on each issue.
